Heritage Designs Quilting and Needlework

Heritage Designs Quilting & Needlework was established in 1976 and is located in a renovated historic granary built in 1895 in the heart of Amana. The granary was originally used to store processed grains and onion sets destined for sale outside of the colonies. The original iron pulley system and wooden grain shoots remain intact, suspended from the hand planed, black walnut ceiling beams, nestled among dozens of awe inspiring quilts and hand stitched pieces.

Featured in the 2009 Quilt Sampler magazine as a Top 10 Quilt Shop in North America, and known throughout the Midwest for their extensive collection of batiks as well as thousands of other fabrics ranging from reproduction to modern designs, a visit here is a must for quilters and stitchers and anyone intrigued by artistic handmade treasures.

When you visit be sure to inquire about upcoming events and take advantage of assistance from their friendly, knowledgeable staff. Owner Chris Davies and her staff invite you to experience Heritage Designs, a destination for quilters, stitchers and those who love the needle arts.
